Palomar Whiskey is personal case-study initially created for a school project, but expanded on for portfolio piece.
The term “Palomar” is a type of fishing knot and it’s used for the driving inspiration behind this whiskey distillery. A script typeface is chosen for the foundation of the wordmark, to mirror the fluid motion of a fly fishing cast. The overall brand is targeted towards the adventurous outdoorsman that enjoys nature, but treats himself to a whiskey on the rocks by a campfire at the end of the day.
